Thon Hotel Høyers – Experience the whole canal – 2 nights

Travel Route:

Day 1:
- Accommodation at Thon Hotel Høyers in Skien center.

Day 2:
- You have the possibility to have breakfast at the hotel before departure.
- Kl. 07.50 attendance at Hjellebrygga pier in Skien.
- Kl. 08.10 departure with M/S Henrik Ibsen or M/S Victoria from Hjellebrygga pier.
- Meals on board: Breakfast and lunch is included in the package.
- Kl. 17.40 / 18.35 arrival at Lastein pier in Dalen.
- Kl. 18.45 departure with bus from Lastein pier in Dalen, with Vy bus, line 142.
- Kl. 19.50 arrival Seljord bus station
- Kl. 19.57 departure with bus from Seljord bus station, with Vy bus, line R1 Mon-Fri.
- Kl. 21.30 arrival at Skien bus station in Skien.

Day 3:
- Breakfast at the hotel.

Practical information on board:

Parking:
You can park your car at the parking lot at Thon Hotel Høyers while on board.
The hotel has two parking lots, both against a fee.
If both are full, there is another parking lot across the street for the hotel for a fee.
It is also possible to move your car to Hjellebrygga on day 2.
Here you can park your car free of charge if you have a parking permit in the windshield to avoid fines.
Collect it from the crew on board before departure.

Meals on board:
There is a restaurant on board.
Included in this package you will be served breakfast and lunch.
Seating time to be agreed directly with the restaurant staff once you have boarded.
Breakfast is served from departure kl. 08.10 and until kl. 09.30.
You can also order food directly at the boat from their menu.
It is not possible to book a table for the entire journey, and you can’t bring your own food on board.

Travel on Mondays:
On Mondays the boats turn in Lunde.
Which means that MS Victoria sails from Skien to Lunde and turns back to Skien.
And MS Henrik Ibsen sails from Dalen to Lunde and turns back to Dalen.
If you wish to sail on Mondays, we ask you to contact us book this trip manually.

Bus return:
There is a change of bus in Seljord during the weekdays.
The buses are corresponding and will wait for each other.
During the weekends there is one bus that drives the entire trip.
From Skien bus station, it takes approx. 10 minutes to walk to Hjellebrygga pier.
You can also depart the bus at Rådhusplassen, right next to Thon Hotel Høyers.

Dining:
The hotel has its own restaurant, and the guests can book at table for dinner directly with the hotel.
Breakfast is included in the package rate, in addition to the breakfast on board the canal boat, so if you are a morning person it is possible to grab something to eat before departing the hotel.
Then you can enjoy a late breakfast after you have passed the first lock, Løveid, while sailing over the Norsjø lake.
