Bring your bicycle and experience the Telemark Canal from both the canal boat and the bicycle! This package includes a two nights’ accommodation at Lunde Vandrerhjem and a boat trip from Ulefoss locks to Fjågesund pier including a bicycle ticket. Then you cycle back from Fjågesund to Lunde on the “Canal route”.

Day 1
- Accommodation at Lunde Vandrerhjem right outside Lunde center.
Day 2
- Breakfast at Lunde Vandrerhjem.
- Cycle trip at approx. 14 kilometers to Ulefoss locks from Lunde Vandrerhjem.
- Kl. 10.00 attendance at Ulefoss locks.
- Kl. 10.30 departure with M/S Henrik Ibsen or M/S Victoria from Ulefoss locks.
- Kl. 15.10 arrival at Fjågesund pier.
- Cycle trip back to Lunde Vandrerhjem.
The cycle trip from Fjågesund to Lunde (35 km) is mainly on asphalt and the terrain is varied.

Day 3
- Breakfast at Lunde Vandrerhjem prior departure.
Parking:
Your car can be parked at the parking lot at Lunde Vandrerhjem.
Food and beverage:
There is a restaurant on board the canal boats.
You can order food directly at the boat from their menu.
We recommend that you eat lunch after you have passed Lunde lock.
It is not possible to book a table for the entire journey.
Please note that there is no place to buy food, snacks, or drink on the legs between Fjågesund and Lunde.
Be sure to bring enough food and water for the cycle trip but be aware that you can’t eat food brought on board the boat.
Bicycle on board:
Before you board the canal boat, please be sure to empty you bicycle, and bicycle trailer, for luggage.
It is important that they are as light as possible before they are lifted on the top of the boat.
The owner must be attending in both loading and unloading.
Maximum weight for bicycles is 25 kg.
Please note that we do not have the capacity to welcome tricycles or other large cycles.
El-bikes: It is prohibited to charge batteries on board due to fire hazard.
Please note that all equipment is transported at your own risk.
The cycle trip is a part of a national cycle route program.
This specific route is called “the canal route”.
In Lunde you can buy maps of the route at Telemark Canal Camping, close to Lunde lock.

Lunde Vandrerhjem has a breakfast buffet.
The guests also have access to a kitchen indoors and a grill outdoors, so it is possible to buy groceries and prepare your own dinner.
Other dining possibilities in Lunde is at the restaurants near Lunde center, which is about 600 meters in walking distance.
Parking:
They have free parking for their guests.
If you have an electrical car, then charging the car is against a fee.
